I'm Alex, well my first name is Daniel but in my family everyone calls me Alex, I'm 16 years old, I'm mexican and I've been struggling with an EDNOS for over 5 or 6 months, I was anorexic before having an EDNOS and hummm.. I guess that it !

It helps me to keep strong.. to keep fighting and I know I can be perfect someday, I will be perfect and reach my goals with BoysWithED help and support

Well, I'm 15 and I'm already dealing with lots of trouble. I was bullied back then when I was in primary school: I was the know-it-all at class...I wasn't sportive at all - I sucked at sports-, by consecuence I only had female friends; all of these seemed to be the cause for boys to call me names, just as "nerd" or "gay" or whatever they made up. At the end, in my way to high school, I ended up with no friends, well I had some "friends", the ones that will always flatter me to their schoolwork (which I stupidly did...I was so alone: I was a loser!). I got some real friends later, but they have social lifes, not as me, so I don't do anything with them outside school.

I eventually suffered from depression and stress, which led me to have some suicidal ideas (I still have). I felt hopeless, as if nothing was worth. As if it was not enough, I felt all the pression being put on me: in school, I was surrounded by the popular, attractive guys; in home, my parents always compared me to all my other cousins "they play musical instruments". "they practice this sport",  they were everything I was not, it doesn't matter how a great student I am, I'm reduced to just a good grade. I felt like nothing.

It didn't seem enough...I realized I was starting to feel attracted to boys: Am I gay?...Why the hell was it happening to me?! It had to be the boy raised within a extremely catholic family, in which the majority of members thought of homosexuality as a sin, a mental disorder or an aberration. If I was screwed in home, think about how things would go in school... I decided to shut my mouth, pretending I was a person I was not. I'm still hesitating, I don't know if I'm gay or bi, but I can tell I'm defenitely attracted to boys..It's hard not to know!

Things kept on going difficult...They discovered I had an internal tumor which was about to invade my brain...It could even be cancer (it was not, though) I passed through 4 major surgeries to get rid of it (why couldn't I die?!)...They're sure it won't appear again, but trust me, it was horrible to have an experience like that!

I felt ugly, fat, worthless, imcompetent and hopeless...Life was not getting rid of me, before I suffered enough...I couldn't help it, I needed a way to end it all...then, the path of ED's suddenly appear...I wanted to be perfect, to have control: an ED could probably give that...That's when it started, some days I vomited, some days I starved...Food had become the ideal way to feel I could change things (even if it meant death was on its way)...No matter how things would go, an ED could give the confidence and bravery I didn't have to face death...Food issues have been walking with me along, but it is not inexact anymore, I was dealing now with an ED.

That's more or less how things have been "working" for me...and I hate it!

I just need to talk to someone else...I'm sick of keeping everything bottled in my apearence of good grade, perfectionist boy...I can express myself without feeling fear, wrath or sorrow in front of some of those who surround me...I can be understood here!

I'm Aqua2Day, I created BoysWithED a couple of years ago, because I thought there was NO place for boys like me, and it made me feel alone. But I knew that there were more boys out there like me, with an eating disorder. Within a few months more and more visitors came, and I was very excited, because I really didn't expect people would find this website in the first place!

Well, if you have anything to ask me, please ask!

I am not going to say how much I love this website, since I made it, lol. But I'm very happy with all the boys I have met through this website.
